First Pass with a Salford Halo VRT

Fennig Equipment L.L.C. 841 OH-29 Celina, OH 45822 (419) 953-8500 We headed to Muncie, Indiana to get a brand new Halo VRT out in the field for its first real pass. New tool, fresh conditions, and a customer ready to learn how to run it right. We walk through the full startup process, from unfolding the tool to dialing in depth, angle, and pressure. Then it’s straight into the field to see what kind of finish this thing can really leave behind. This pass is all about getting ground ready ahead of the planter. Smoothing things out, managing residue, and working out those anhydrous tracks without getting too aggressive. You’ll see the adjustments we make and what to look for when you’re trying to dial one in yourself. By the end of it, the tool is set, the field is clean, and the operator knows exactly what he’s doing heading into spring. If you’re running a Halo VRT or thinking about vertical tillage this season, this is a good look at what it actually takes to get one set up and working right.
