Sask. school holds first ribbon skirt day to support student shamed for wearing hers
An 11-year-old Sask.-girl has been dubbed a "catalyst for change," turning an insult towards her traditional ribbon skirt into a movement, and now an annual event. Isabella Kulak's school, Kamsack Comprehensive Institute, declared Jan. 4 ribbon skirt day. A bill has also been introduced into the senate to make Jan. 4 national ribbon skirt day.
