Presa la 'banda del buco', rapinò la banca Crédit Agricole lo scorso novembre

The seven robbers who robbed the Credit Agricole bank in Piazza Ascoli in Milan last November have been arrested in Naples. They stole approximately €1 million in stolen goods through the sewer system. It was November 3rd when the seven members of the "Gang del Buco," as the group was nicknamed, wearing latex masks, entered the Credit Agricole bank in Piazza Ascoli via a roughly one-kilometer-long route through the city's sewer system that connected the bank's interior to the gang's hideout, a basement on Via Montepulciano, near the central station. The robbers then retraced their steps through the sewer system and managed to return to their base. Only a few days later, they left for Naples. Thanks to the work of the Milan Mobile Squad's anti-robbery unit, they were able to identify the vehicles used in the robbery and subsequently the robbers' telephone numbers. This allowed them to ascertain the presence of the seven in Milan in the months preceding the robbery. The group had been planning the robbery since August, and they also occupied several apartments rented during the preparatory stages of the robbery, as well as the logistical base of the hideout on Via Montepulciano. The investigation also revealed that the group, composed of individuals aged between 52 and 26, including two brothers and two brothers-in-law, was also preparing to commit other robberies, using the same modus operandi, in the provinces of Milan, Turin, and Monza.
