Long Lake, IL 6 inches lower than last week
July 2, lake level 739.1', last week it was normal at 739.6’. The Long Lake Improvement and Sanitation Association has rigged the dam to drop to the spillway in 2 weeks. Too low. Weed growth and algae blooms to follow, which get swept out to Fox Lake and the Chain to grow. Sharing is caring but I’m afraid this is not the way to take care of this lake. llisa.org
