Alcaldía de San Salvador Centro retira 400 vehículos abandonados para recuperar espacios públicos
The San Salvador Centro mayor's office has launched an operation to remove 400 abandoned vehicles in the Mejicanos district as part of an ongoing campaign to organize and reclaim public spaces. Mayor Mario Durán explained that these vehicles often become breeding grounds for pollution and crime, so their removal is being carried out after three legal notices have been issued to the owners. Those who violate the regulations will face fines ranging from $51 to $900, in addition to being responsible for towing costs and daily storage fees at the municipal impound lot.
