EX 2 | COLUMN BASE FOOTING | SLAB BASED | BOLTED | COMPOSITE ROLLED SECTION
It's difficult to connect Steel Column with RCC Footing directly. For perfect connection, Base Plate or Gusseted Base is generally used in practice. Through this design, a person can learn about the design of slab-based footing for a given steel column with code provision. The base plate is going to be designed using Indian Standard 800:2007 via given provisions and Base Plate is connected to a concrete block via anchor bolts. For connection of base plate to column section, bolting or welding is used according to design.
