From elite Imperial Guard formations to brilliantly colored armored cavalry inspired by steppe traditions, this 15mm miniature collection represents the strength, organization, and symbolism of a golden age of empire. The Tang were not an isolated dynasty. Their military structure inherited traditions from earlier Northern dynasties and the Sui — and influenced the dynasties that followed.
