Insane Chaos in the air at KGYR airport!

KGYR airport in the Phoenix Metro area has gotten to be nearly as busy as Deer Valley with the ramp up of United Airlines "Aviate Academy", a large scale flight school supplying pilots for United and it's contract carriers. On this weekend, their radar was inoperative. The high volume of traffic and lack of radar to see on their scope where all the planes are, created some real chaos. Thankfully, our controllers are GREAT. While certainly stressful, they are managing the airspace in an amazing fashion AND switching positions frequently to avoid burnout.
