They also took part in each other recordings ‘cos in the end #TOTO remains a big family, no matter what, even if they had a very different approach apparently as solo artists… With yours truly BARBARA CASERTA, #Luke discussed how he is back on the happy track in life and music despite business tricks, mistakes and lawsuits, the 3 cover songs he picked this time (Traffic, Joe Walsh and Robin Trower), how he shapes his playing on the many sessions he has done pleasing everybody, David Paich back on the keys, Jeff Babko, co-producer Ken Freeman, Stan Lynch who helped with the lyrics like in the “Tambu” days… … 9 years on the road with Ringo Starr (among guests on the album), his Beatles stories and their strong personal bond, #LEVARA and what he sees of himself in his son Trev who’s following in dad’s footsteps, Spotify levelling up the big productions attitude especially for old school guys, how sustaining a career is something you don’t learn on a computer (“today’s music made by a laptop and a celebrity” will never be enough for real artists), missing #EddieVanHalen (the friend & the genius), “Africa”’s heavy flagship to carry and the love/hate relation he has with that megahit, his vision on the post vaccine scenario and how life is still a learning experience…. and does he have a different discipline and approach as a singer being mainly a guitarist singing out of necessity?
