Adventure Time is about two best friends: Jake, a wise old dog with a big heart, and Finn, a silly kid who wants more than anything to become a great hero. These two friends are all the family they have. They support each other through thick and thin, share their secrets, and ask for advice when problems get out of control. More importantly, Finn and Jake laugh together at the silly and ridiculous jokes they tell while traversing a large and treacherous island, looking for adventures to pass the time. At first glance you probably wouldn't realize it, but Finn is a powerful hero. It's true, he's passionate about heroism. For a twelve-year-old, saving princesses and fighting sinister wizards is an admirable pastime. Finn doesn't know why he's drawn to protecting good from evil; it's just something he understands is necessary. It might be in his blood; perhaps his parents were doers of good like him. Maybe they're real cosmic cowboys fighting intergalactic outlaws in space, maybe they're presidents of the honorable Dinosaur Knights. Finn doesn't know his mysterious origins. Even though he doesn't have the skills to win a battle, Finn is a persistent little boy when it comes to fighting evil. Finn isn't very strong; he's rather small, with a big head and small feet. What Finn does have is a solid moral compass, a set of values, and a lot of nerve! That's what makes him a hero. He remains strong when facing adversity. Throwing care to the wind, to protect the people he loves. Finn enjoys everything a normal kid enjoys, inventing songs and crashing monster parties. And when evil isn't running rampant? Finn takes advantage of his free time to jump on rocks, roll in the grass, or explore his favorite adventure spots. Jake is like an older brother or a cool uncle to Finn. Of course, they're both quite young; in dog years, Jake is 28. Jake is quite playful; everything can become a joke until things get serious. And when it's serious, like when Finn is sad or discouraged, Jake is a good listener and knows exactly what to say. Come and get ready to travel to distant lands with Jake the dog and Finn the human; the fun will never end. It's adventure time!
