GMC, ACKWX, TRUCK, 1940 6 X 6. 1 each.
This type truck was being produced by General Motors for export to France under the Lend-Lease Contract. Some of the ACK 353 4 X 4 trucks were sent, but the Wermacht soon followed. The ACK trucks were captured and pressed into service by the Germans. The ACKWX trucks went to England under the same Lend-Lease contract. This remained in the United States and is quite scarce. I am not certain of just how many 6 X 6 trucks were built, but the serial number for this truck is well below 5000.
