General Ricardo Trevilla Trejo, Secretary of National Defense, explained that the current administration's priorities are part of a comprehensive development plan for the Army, Air Force, and National Guard. One of the topics addressed during the conference was the future of the Northrop F-5E/F fighter jets, aircraft that have been part of the Mexican combat fleet for four decades. Regarding this, Trevilla explained that the modernization of these aircraft is part of the modernization program, although it is not among the immediate priorities.
