Making A Heavy Duty Hunting Knife From Rusted Iron Sheet (Loha Ki Pati)

Welcome back to The Iron Core! In this video, we take a completely rusted, discarded piece of heavy iron sheet (loha ki pati) and transform it into a breathtaking, razor-sharp survival bowie knife. If you love metalworking, knife making, tool restoration, and satisfying DIY crafts, this video is made for you! The main challenge was to grind past the deep rust pits without making the blade too thin, ensuring the knife retains its structural strength. The Design: We chose a tactical survival knife style with sawback teeth on the spine to give it an aggressive look while maintaining maximum utility for outdoor environments. Heat Treat: Proper heat treatment was done to ensure the edge stays sharp for a long time. It was heated to non-magnetic temperature and then quenched in oil, followed by a tempering cycle.
