The Wild Party (1975)- "The tragedy had started."

The Wild Party began as a long narrative 1928 poem by Joseph Moncure March, then turned into a 1975 film made by the team of Merchant-Ivory (pre-Howard's End) In this scene, David Dukes (forever known as the monster that tried to rape Edith Bunker) narrates part of the poem as we meet the main characters including James Coco (as the fading comedian trying to launch a comeback) and Raquel Welch (as his tragic mistress)
