LEYLAND NATIONAL 54 (PART 1 OF 6)

The 'Leyland National 54' (LN54) event took place over the weekend of 2nd - 3rd May 2026 and was organised by the Workington Transport Heritage Trust (WTHT). Filming for this video took place at 'The Hub' in Whitehaven which was the focal point for buses departing on the day. A network of routes were operated from Whitehaven to St Bees, Egremont, Workington (Via the former Leyland National factory at Lillyhall) and Workington College (for the park and ride) in addition to this a circular Town Service was in operation. 27 buses were in service on Saturday and 20 on Sunday and these included several Leyland Nationals as well as a Bristol FLF, Volvo Ailsa, Optare Delta and more modern Alexander Dennis ALX400, Enviro 200 and Volvo B10M types.
