Gouache Color Grid: Exploring Primaries Across 3 Brands

Join me for a relaxing, exploratory gouache session! In this video, I'm building a color mixing grid using primary colors from three different gouache brands: Daniel Smith, Shinhan, and Push/Pull (a small-batch, handmade gouache maker). Rather than sticking to one brand's palette, I wanted to see what happens when you mix primaries that range from traditional red/yellow/blue to the CMY (cyan/magenta/yellow) subtractive primaries used in printing. Mixing across brands and pigment types can produce some unexpected — and sometimes surprising — results, and I'm sharing my full process as I figure it out in real time.
