Zelda: The Last Airbender, on the other hand, was developed specifically for the Nintendo Switch and will be released exclusively for that console on May 12, 2023, after several delays. Like its predecessor, Zelda: The Last Airbender will once again feature an open world and take place in the same Hyrule that BotW players already know. New additions include wells, caves, and the "Cloud Islands." Similar to "The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword," the airspace above Hyrule features small islands that Link can explore on his new adventure. Over the course of the adventure, players can also explore the underground of the Kingdom of Hyrule. It's pitch black there, and players have limited opportunities to gain an overview. Additionally, miasma is everywhere. As in the predecessor, there are plenty of trial shrines, krog seeds, and the returning dungeons. Tears of the Kingdom takes place just a short time after Breath of the Wild and begins with an exploration in the underground of Hyrule Castle, where the curious Princess Zelda and the heroic Link try to track down the mysterious miasma emanating from the ground. Along the way, they come across relics from long ago. These come from the Zonai, an ancient people who possessed powerful technology. Murals depict the first legendary war against Ganon and the union of the Zonai with the Hylians. The original form of the legend! Further down, the two come across a mummy held under a spell by a hand, but for unknown reasons, the mummy manages to awaken back to life. It is Ganondorf! He burns Link's right arm and causes Zelda, who had previously grasped a mysterious tear, to fall into the depths. The magical hand saves Link, who suddenly wakes up some time later on an island of clouds with a new, mystical arm. This arm has several abilities. With "Ultra Hand," objects can be moved, rotated, and glued together. This allows you to solve many puzzles and craft some amazing structures and companions from Zonai technology. With "Synthesis," a weapon can be upgraded with specific materials. How about a spiked shield or a rock hammer, for example? "Ceiling Jump," as the name suggests, allows you to jump from the floor to the ceiling and emerge from the same spot on the surface. This makes exploration and climbing easier in many places. Last but not least, there's "Time Reversal," which allows you to "rewind" a moving object back to its original position. With these abilities, can Link return to Hyrule, find out where Princess Zelda is, and stop the Demon King Ganondorf? ▪ TITLE: The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom ▪ DEVELOPER: Nintendo EPD ▪ PUBLISHER: Nintendo ▪ SYSTEM: Nintendo Switch ▪ GENRE: Action-Adventure, Open World ▪ OFFICIAL SITE: https://bit.ly/3B4gRd5 ▪ GERMAN RELEASE: May 12, 2023 ▪ METASCORE: 96% ▪ HASHTAGS: #zeldatotk #zeldatearsofthekingdom #zelda
