Opening a Tomix 700 Series Shinkansen "Hikari Rail Star" - 92822 Model Railway Unboxings - Japanese N Gauge Today we take a look at another Shinkansen. We switch over to Tomix this time for the 700 series in the Rail Star setup. This model is from the second run of the model, which was updated with the all wheel powered pickups. The 700 series is the fourth generation Tokaido/Sanyo Shinkansen formed by a class of 91 sets. Today 16 sets remain in service, all being in the Rail Star eight-car formation and used on the Kodama services. In this video we unbox the model, take a close look and give it its first test run.
