F1-8X V2 (Alu v1.1) | HMX Azalea | GMK Infernal

Today we're checking out another scratchy switch or let's say another mx black alternative this time from HMX. Think of it as a new and improved HMX Sonja. It has a fuller sound with even more pronounced scratch and I'm definitely enjoying it more. I also feel like this is HMX's answer to Wingtree's Camellia    • F1-8X V2 SMKX | Wingtree Camellia | GMK Le...   In the quick comparison sound test, both have that signature scratchy sound profile, but the Camellia is a bit higher-pitched. The Azalea, on the other hand, has a little more depth and fullness. One thing to keep in mind is that the Camellias are completely dry, while the Azaleas come factory lubed, so the Azaleas naturally sound a bit cleaner. MX black alternatives just keep getting better. Before this, I was a huge fan of the Camellias and Nezukos. Now that the Azaleas have joined the party, I think I might actually prefer them. Maybe it's just recency bias who knows but these switches have been continuously impressing me. These are absolutely worth checking out. Stem legs and stem sliders are covered with a very thin coat of 205g0. The spring and leaf are lubed with dry film. Everything else is dry.
