The Battle of Lexington & Concord: the American Revolution has not yet begun, and the British North American colonies are at an impasse. There has been years of increasingly hostile disagreements between Parliament in London, and the colonial governments over rights and taxation. In 1774, the British Government attempts to punish the colony of Massachusetts through the 'Intolerable Acts', which only makes matters worse and unites the colonies in opposition.
