Firefighting teams remain focused on the serious wildfires in Madrid and Ávila, which, after causing some 73,000 evacuations and burning 20,000 hectares, are now being managed as a single fire. The situation is "complex" due to a change in wind direction, confirming the worst predictions. The evacuation of three more municipalities in Madrid has been ordered as the fire advances.
