NYC Japan Parade 2026

Highlights from Japan Parade New York, held along Central Park West on May 9, 2026. Japan Parade is an annual festival celebrating Japanese culture in New York City along Central Park since 2022. This year marked the fifth Japan Parade. Japan Parade takes place along Central Park West from 81st Street to 68th Street, featuring special performance stages and beautifully decorated red-carpet areas around 71st St & 70th St. A wide variety of organizations and performers representing Japanese culture participated in the event, including Mikoshi, dance, music, taiko drumming, martial arts, various art form, as well as anime & cosplay communities representing modern Japanese pop-culture.
