Eastern Swiss Breeding Sheep Market Sargans 2025 | The 111th edition in the Rhine Valley At the end of September, 99 breeders from 11 cantons will meet in the Sargans market hall for the 111th edition of the traditional Eastern Swiss Breeding Sheep Market. 483 rams and sheep will be judged by seven experts – the highlight: the Miss and Mister competitions on Saturday evening. We accompany Daniel Dörig from Sevelen, who triumphed three times with his Brown-Headed Meat Sheep, chief judge Rudi Brunner from Aargau, who explains the judging process, and Elmar Wüst from Oberriet, who has been breeding for 48 years.
