Laguna Revo 12/16 First Year Lathe Review

I've posted this on my woodturning channel, but I'm putting it on this one to reach a wider audience, to reach you if you are thinking about taking up the craft. Woodturning is expensive. The lathe is the single most expensive required tool, so getting the most for your dollar in that leaves more dollars for all the other expensive tools you'll need. There are cheap lathes and there are inexpensive lathes. Whatever you buy first will probably teach you what you should have bought. My first lathe was a castoff from a high school shop. It looks like the one I used in shop class 65 years ago. It's limitations were many, but it gave me enough experience to know what I needed. This Laguna lathe suits me just fine.
