One such profession is the world of investment and business consulting. In this episode of the Baja Podcast, I spoke with Iwan, a fellow villager who now works in Banjarbaru. His career path is quite diverse and offers many new perspectives for those of us who grew up in a rural environment. At the beginning of the conversation, Iwan shared his experience working for an investment company as a business consultant. He explained simply what his job was like, how to interact with potential clients, and the importance of building trust in the investment world. For some people, terms like investment, trading, or business consulting can still sound complicated. Therefore, we try to discuss them in simpler language to make them easier to understand, especially for Baja Podcast listeners who come from various backgrounds. Next, Iwan talked about his current job as a retail salesperson for a drinking water company. From the outside, sales might seem like a simple job, just selling products. However, he believes that the core of the job is building good relationships with customers, understanding their needs, and providing service that builds trust and makes them willing to buy the products offered. This conversation was interesting because many of the lessons were applicable, not only to the workplace but also to everyday life. The ability to communicate, listen, and build trust are useful skills in various fields. Towards the end of the podcast, the atmosphere became more relaxed as we discussed Iwan's personal life, particularly his love life. We talked about his views on life partners, what would happen if he were to be matched, and his marriage plans, which are certainly questions many of his friends have.
