2011 IZOD IndyCar World Championship: 10 Years Later (Racing Stories #20)

In this episode of Racing Stories, we are going to revisit the 2011 IZOD IndyCar World Championship at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Coming into the race, there were alot of storylines! The last race of the IR-05 chassis, Round 2 of the championship battle between Dario Franchitti and Will Power. Danica Patrick’s last ever full-time IndyCar race before she goes to NASCAR, and Dan Wheldon starting in 34th (last place) and to not only win the race, but to win the $5 million challenge! Unfortunately, the race is remembered for one of the most horrifying accidents in IndyCar History that claimed the life of 2-time Indianapolis 500 champion and 2005 IndyCar Champion, Dan Wheldon.
