The Dual Atari Punk Console - crunchy lo-fi sounds with a feline touch

We have a little fun (ok, a lot of fun) with our feline-themed Dual Atari Punk Console module from Tear Apart Tapes. In addition the cat face with LED eyes, it includes two independent APC circuits, each with their own 556 timer and CV inputs for frequency and pulse width. We can also cross-modulate the two APCs for some crunchy chaotic chip-tune madness. To find out more about the Dual APC and other modules from Tear Apart Tapes, please visit https://www.etsy.com/shop/TearApartTapes The Atari Punk Console is a simple synthesizer circuit based on two 555 timer ICs (or one 556 dual timer IC). The circuit features an astable square wave oscillator driving a monostable oscillator that creates a single (square) pulse. There are two controls, one for the frequency of the oscillator and one for the width of the pulse. 00:00 Introduction 00:20 The Atari Punk Console circuit 00:59 The Dual Atari Punk Console module 01:35 Let's try it out! 03:29 Joystick CV control 04:51 Cross Modulation 06:13 Sequencer and LFO CV control 09:15 Adding an amplitude envelope on the output 10:37 Conclusion Check out our review of the Morphor Sequencer module    • Morphor Sequencer: A feature-rich sequence...   And Mr Grassi by Ieaskul F.
