Making Masts and Yards for Model Ship: DYI Jig using Drill Machine
This video shows a custom DYI (Do it yourself) jig that I made to use drill machine and rotary tool to shape yards and masts for my Mamoli's Blackbeard Sloop project. The process is very efficient and you can taper down a 20 mm rod by 3-4 mm in about 10 minutes. This custom jig is very useful to make masts and yards of model ships, and can also be used to make model trees. This can be used to make simple carving on wood dowels for various applications.
