The Kujawy Cement Plant - first zero-emission cement plant in Poland
Decarbonization and climate neutrality are significant challenges for industries where production processes generate CO2 emissions. For years, Cementownia Kujawy has been reducing CO2 emissions by using alternative fuels and transforming its product offering by replacing clinker with mineral components and creating solutions such as Eco Planet cement with a carbon footprint reduced by 30-40% compared to traditional types of cement. At the same time, CO2 emissions from clinker production are unavoidable. CO2 capture technologies come to the rescue. A new plant will be built at the Kujawy Cement Plant to capture emissions specifically from clinker production.
