The celebration of the Horse Riding Gala fills riders and spectators alike with joy. This is how Managua's patron saint festivities are experienced in Nicaragua! With a revamped route, the traditional Managua Horse Riding Gala 2025 took place this Friday, bringing together more than 5,000 riders from different parts of the country. The Managua Horse Racing Championship remains one of the most anticipated events of the year, considered the finest equestrian event in Nicaragua. Unlike previous years, when the route started at the Managua Seawall and crossed areas such as Bolívar Avenue, Tiscapa Lagoon, and the El Güegüense Roundabout, this time the event began at the Livestock Fair, located at kilometer 7.5 of the Masaya Highway. Along the route, numerous platforms were set up from where thousands of people watched the horses pass by, including horses of Ibero-American, Peruvian, and Spanish breeds, among others. The riders advanced along their route until they concluded near the Soberanía National Baseball Stadium.
