The gates at the Norfolk Southern's Middle Road crossing are already down as we come around the curve to the crossing. At 1:14 the lead engine on Norfolk Southern train #206 hit the Middle Road crossing. You turn left on Progress Drive to pace the train #206 on 23 February 2022. As you pace the engines, we hear the turbos whining as the train goes up a slight grade on its way east. At 3:07 you stop a the Werle Road crossing to watch the rest of train #206 pass. 3:18 You start to make a U-Turn on Progress Drive to return west on Progress Drive. At 3L24 we see the pump house and the base of the Sheridan, New York water tower. 3:55 We are at the Temple Road crossing on the west side of Dunkirk, New York looking west toward the Norfolk Southern tracks on 1 March 2022. 6:22 We hear the gates at the bell at the CSX Temple Road crossing ringing and you turn toward the CSX tracks and we see that the gates are going down. You walk quickly toward the CSX tracks. At 6:40 CSX engine #6927 crosses Temple Road with CSX engine #2505 following as CSX train #C750, the Dunkirk Local, heads west to the CSX Rail Yard in Erie, Pennsylvania after finishing its work in the Dunkirk area for 1 March 2022. 7:45 We are at the CSX Berry Road crossing in Pomfret, New York looking east as CSX train #I017 is approaching the Van Buren crossing on 28 February 2022. At 8:24 the lights go on the Mile Post 44.8 signals turn on. We see that there is a green light for an eastbound CSX train that will be coming on track #2. All of the other lights on the two Mile Post 44.8 signals are red. At 8:52 the lead engine of train #I017 crosses Berry Road. AT 9:51 an end of train DPU appears. After train #I017 passes Berry Road, you zoom in on the end of train #I017 and we see that the train is blocking both the Lake Road and the Martin/Willow Road crossings. At 10:31 the Lake Road crossing gates go up. The lead engine of CSX train #I017 has not past the Mile Post 47 signals yet because we see a green light on the upper signal for track #1 which is the track that train #I017 is on. At 10:38 train #I017 knocks down the signal for track #1 on the Mile Post 47 signal. At 11:22 the gates at the CSX Martin/Willow Road crossing goes up. 11:32 The headlight of CSX train #I158 peeks around the curve that comes from Brocton, New York. You zoom back to a normal view at 11:50 so we can see how far away the train meet is from the Berry Road crossing where we are. The trains are meeting about three miles from Berry Road. We watch as CSX train #I017 curves right on the way to Brocton, New York and the eastbound CSX train #I158 continues to come toward Berry Road. At 12:42 the gats at the Martin/Willow Road crossing start to lower. AT 12:45 CSX train #I017 is no longer visible as it continues west. At 13:34 the gates at the Lake Road crossing start to lower. At 14:33 the lead engine of CSX train #I158 crosses Berry Road. After CSX train #I158 passes Berry Road on 28 February 2022, you zoom in on the end of the train. AT about 15:47 CSX train #I158 passes the Mile Post 44.8 signals. 16 :10 We are at the Norfolk Southern tracks at the Middle Road crossing on 27 February 2022 as Norfolk Southern train #22K is led by a BNSF engine and a Norfolk Southern engine. At 16:38 the lead BNSF engine crosses Middle Road. At 19:14 the gates at Middle Road crossing go up and you proceed across the tracks and on to Progress Drive. At 19:50 you make a right turn on to Middle Road to get to the CSX Middle Road crossing. 20:12 We are at the CSX Middle Road crossing on 28 February 2022 looking east at CSX train #K637 which is an empty ethanol train led by a Canadian National engine and a CSX engine. 25:38 We are at the Berry Road crossing in Pomfret, New York on 13 February 2022 where the Norfolk Southern gates are flashing and going down. At 26:00 the lead engine of Norfolk Southern train #206 crosses Berry Road. After Norfolk Southern train #206 passes, the Norfolk Southern defect detector at Mile Post 46.3 announces at 26:46 that there are no defects on Norfolk Southern train #206.
