MEDAL OF HONOR: Soldier Leads Counter-Attack Against 300+ Enemy | Clinton Romesha

In 2013, shortly after he received the Medal of Honor, we had the honor of interviewing Staff Sergeant Clinton Romesha about his military career and his actions on October 3, 2009 during the Battle of Kamdesh. The Battle of Kamdesh was a coordinated assault of 300 plus Taliban soldiers on the much smaller American force stationed at Outpost Keating. The 12-hour long battle resulted in 8 Americans killed and 27 wounded while the Taliban suffered an estimated 150 killed. This battle was later portrayed in the 2020 film, The Outpost, and Scott Eastwood portrayed Staff Sgt. Romesha. On February 11, 2013 Staff Sgt. Clinton Romesha was awarded the Medal of Honor for his action during the battle. He is the fourth living Medal of Honor recipient from the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.
