Clients from Kazan arrived in February, a month before the end of the logging season. The "House over a Stream" project they had chosen didn't suit either the site or the family. We designed a new one to match the order: a single-story, 18x9 meter cedar house, made from the same 100 cubic meters of wood, but with a larger footprint. We analyzed the layout, which accommodates three families: a master bedroom with a walk-in closet and bathroom, a guest bedroom, a 48 sq m living room with a kitchen, a greenhouse with two glass walls (also a grandchildren's bedroom), and a spacious attic suitable for a future bedroom. Additionally, there's the requirement for the house to be planted on the site, which, if violated, results in a loss of space and views. Technologies: Canadian bowl with 15 mm overhang, 28-32 cm cedar, USHP foundation, standing seam roofing, and a 30 cm insulation layer, which eliminates the issue of metal noise.
