With that clarified, in this video, I'll explain step by step how to plant garlic in a pot, garden, or allotment, or even at home. It's very easy; just follow these steps: Step 1: Take a pot that isn't too deep (15cm) and fill it with well-draining potting mix, as garlic doesn't like waterlogged soil. If you're planting in a garden, prepare the soil so it's loose and airy. Step 2: Take a seed garlic bulb or one from the supermarket and remove the largest outer cloves. We won't use the inner ones, as they will produce smaller cloves. Step 3: Place the garlic cloves in the pot, spacing them about 7-10cm apart and burying them about 5cm deep. If we plant garlic in our garden, we should space the cloves 15-20 cm apart and bury them about 5 cm deep. The thinner end of the garlic clove should face upwards, as this is where the stem will grow. Step 4: Water generously and place the pot in a sunny spot. As you can see, growing garlic is very easy. Now we just have to wait 7 to 9 months to harvest our homegrown organic garlic. We must be careful with watering and not overwater, as this can lead to fungal growth.
