The game of rugby as a means of recovery after the L'Aquila earthquake, and rugby as a metaphor for life, for the importance of never giving up, where the ball is passed back to teammates to move forward and win. He was Technical Director of the Fiamme Oro Rugby Roma Sports Group (State Police 2007-2014), Specialist Coach of the Zebre Rugby Parma Federal Franchise (2012-2014), Coach of the Under-20 National Team (2006-2011) and the Under-18 National Team (2011-2012 and 2004-2006), and Technical Director of the L'Aquila Rugby Club (2016-2018). The 2009 earthquake marked a watershed moment in his personal and professional life.
