Kabowa school fundraiser is still going strong

Our Kabowa school fundraiser is still going strong — and we are not stopping. We are building a proper sanitation block for the primary and nursery school right here in Kabowa village, Uganda. If you missed last week's update, go check it out — we broke down why we started this and exactly how we plan to get it done. Here is where we stand. On one hand, we are fully committed and we will see this through the right way. On the other hand, we are a brand new foundation and, honestly, we are still learning how this fundraising thing works. Which might explain why so far we have received only one donation — and it came from the most unexpected country. Someone in Russia sent us one million Ugandan shillings. We are deeply grateful. That money went straight to work: a 3.000-litre water tank, pipes, and a washbasin to bring clean running water to the school. With the Ebola situation unfolding right now, clean water is not a comfort — it is urgent. We are hoping this first donation is not also the last one. We are not running this through any of those big fundraising platforms. Frankly, trust in them is low and the fees are high. So if something in your heart says yes — reach out to us directly. WhatsApp, Instagram, email, a phone call — whatever works for you. We will tell you everything about what we are doing and we will find a way to make your support count. Stay well, stay strong. 📞 Phone / WhatsApp: +256 743 814 704 📧 E-mail: [email protected] 🌐 nilonian.com
