Phill King - Albatross (cover)

I appear here with Phill King, friend and fellow member of 'The Warwick Shadows Guitar Club' came along to CHS to record lead part over my 'home brewed' backing track of 'Albatross'. Albatross was written by Peter Green of 'Fleetwood Mac' and they released it as a single in November 1968 and was their only number one hit in the UK Singles Chart. Phill used his Fender Custom Shop Hank Marvin Signature 1993 Stratocaster connected directly into my PC loaded with Cubase Elements 14 via a 'Focusrite Scarlett 18 i 8' USB interface. The mix was then mastered with Ozone 5. Backing track created with: American '86 Stratocaster for bird song, La Patrie Hybrid CW Light Burst for Rhythm, Ibanez SR 300 Bass, M-Audio MIDI keyboard used to control Halion Sonic 2 Vst instruments: Strings ('Warm Orchestral', and 'Big and Silky') Drums (GM Stereo kit) for standard back beat and reversed cymbal (with heavy reverb for crashing waves) Vocal ('New Age Aah Choir) all mixed down and mastered with Ozone 5. Videoed with two Panasonic camcorders (X800/900) and edited with Adobe Premiere Elements 14.
