I remember $35.00 a week, and on SSI you got the Monthly Rate, but in 1983 I was having seizures, lost my check, and spent a few months on the streets, or "Musical Missions" as we called it. Seriously, you spent so many hours Waiting Waiting to get a Duckit Dukit, a Pass to Eat Supper and Get a Bed or Chair. As soon as my halth got better I moved to palmdale.
