Una cima olvidada | Peña del Buitre desde el Puerto de Navafría | Senderismo Sierra de Guadarrama

Peña del Buitre is one of the easternmost two-thousand-meter peaks in the Sierra de Guadarrama. Its pronounced erosion has transformed the summit into a wide, rounded meadow, perfect for a walk without significant elevation changes. To reach its summit, I start from the Navafría Pass, on the border between Madrid and Segovia, and ascend the slope, following the successive high points and passes that will lead me to Peña del Buitre.
