We Took Our Dog to a Fancy Restaurant for the First Time

Today is one of those special days. We are arriving at one of the most popular restaurants on the island — the kind of place you normally have to reserve a week in advance. But we are getting lucky — one table is just being freed up. Of course, Kobe can’t go there unwashed, so we are making sure he is shining clean. What makes this restaurant so special is the stunning sunset view. On the way there, we are stopping for photos, because the view is just too gorgeous to pass by. At the restaurant, we are meeting another furry friend. Honestly, we are feeling a bit nervous about how Kobe is interacting and how others are reacting, because this isn’t just a casual taverna — this is a proper fancy restaurant, the fanciest we have ever been to. The experience is feeling unique. First, we are being invited 30 minutes before our reservation to a special area where everyone is waiting just to watch the sunset. Everything is so well organized, almost like we are inside the most secret organization. The staff are polite and punctual, and everything is running on time. And Kobe, as always, is attracting people. We are happy to see how warmly he is being welcomed, even in such a formal place. When we are sitting down, a small problem is starting — the restaurant is high up in the mountains, and it is cold. On top of that, Robert is getting hungry. Luckily, the bread is arriving fast and saving us for the moment. We are ordering chicken and potatoes for him, and of course he is sharing with Kobe. For us, we are deciding to go big — lobster. I’ve been dreaming about this for so long, and finally we are trying it. Betty’s order is somehow delayed, and it is arriving later, but in the end everyone is eating. The bill is coming — €212. Is it worth it? For me, the lobster is not as special as I am imagining it to be. I think I am still preferring crawfish. But the whole experience is unforgettable. This restaurant is too fancy for us — more like a one-time adventure than a regular spot. If I am rating it, the atmosphere, environment, and organization are a 10 out of 10. The food? A 7.5.
