From the age of two, he began learning flower arrangement from his grandmother, Hattori Riharu, the founder of the Koryu Toyo-kai, and his mother, Miyamoto Rimine, the second generation head of the family. He began participating in flower arrangement exhibitions while in college and has participated in the World Flower Arrangement Conference and the Japanese Flower Arrangement Art Exhibition. In 2009, he was appointed Deputy Head of the Koryu Toyo-kai. He has since been invited to participate in the Jenadriyah Festival in Tunisia and Saudi Arabia, and the "Heart of Japan" International Festival hosted by the Moscow State Conservatory of Tchaikovsky, and has performed flower arrangement demonstrations in Moscow, Russia. He has received the Special Jury Prize at the All Japan Flower Arrangement Competition.
