Male is the most densely populated capital city in the world, with only 8km2 of land its population is reaching well over 200 thousand inhabitants. Tourists come to Maldives for beautiful islands and beaches. Male is used only for a transfer and because of heavy traffic and overpopulation is avoided by tourists.
