⚓️Die Ruine die nicht ins Geschichtsbuch passt! 😎

⚓️The Willenburg ruins sit 656 meters above Schiltach. Officially dated to the 11th century, some structures appear considerably older. A striking feature is the 30-meter-deep shaft, the purpose of which remains a mystery. If the sea level were raised to 529 meters, the hill would be completely submerged. The ancient inland sea once flooded entire valleys, including the course of the present-day Kinzig River. This very location near water suggests that Willenburg may have been situated on an early shipping route. The ruins are among those historical sites whose significance remains unclear to this day. A place that leaves behind unanswered questions. 🤔 Here's the video from Oliver: Canal Felsentempler! The little castle, shrouded in the mists of history. 👀👇👀👇👀👇👀👇👀👇    • DAS SCHLÖSSLE im Nebel der Geschichte   This journey is only possible because of people like you.
