My Journey to Becoming a Foster Parent • Florida Grown Adventure

I just wanted to come on and share with you a different aspect of our life and encourage you that if you feel like God is calling you to become a foster parent, DO IT. It's not roses and daisies, by any means, and can feel/be absolutely exhausting. But God wants to use people like you to love the broken families and all the children that are trapped within our flawed foster care system. If you are a new foster parent embarking on this journey or are currently feeling broken and discouraged, I want you to take a minute and remember your "why". God called you to this journey for a purpose. Your tears and cries are heard by God. You are strong enough to bear what you are going through as long as you continue to push & rely on God's strength. ••• "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding." -Proverbs 3:5 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
