Homepage: EMNote.org ■ 🚩Membership: https://tinyurl.com/joinemnote 🚩ACLS Lecture: https://tinyurl.com/emnoteacls ACLS Drugs Overview Used in cardiac arrest, arrhythmias, shock Supportive to CPR + defibrillation Correct timing = key Cardiac Arrest Drugs Epinephrine: 1 mg IV/IO q3–5 min Amiodarone: 300 mg → 150 mg Lidocaine: 1–1.5 mg/kg → repeat 0.5–0.75 mg/kg Bradycardia & SVT Atropine: 1 mg IV q3–5 min (max 3 mg) Adenosine: 6 mg rapid → 12 mg if needed Special Arrhythmias Magnesium Sulfate: 1–2 g IV → torsades de pointes Metabolic / Toxic Causes Sodium Bicarbonate: 1 mEq/kg IV → acidosis, hyperK, TCA tox Calcium Gluconate: 10 mL of 10% → hyperK, hypoCa, CCB tox Post-ROSC / Shock Epi Infusion: 0.1–0.5 µg/kg/min Dopamine: 5–20 µg/kg/min Key Points Always combine with CPR + defib Monitor rhythm and BP Treat reversible causes (Hs & Ts)
