Plastic miniatures are becoming increasingly common and offer many advantages to the modeller including ease of assembly and consistent quality. However there are disadvantages including the necessity to make parts in sections. When assembling plastic models sometimes a noticeable seam is left that requires filling or will be obvious when painted.
