Curaçao Fiësta (1969)
A nice one from my musicassette collection: ‘Curaçao Fiësta’, released in 1969. It was promoted as "the first cassette of original Antillian music"/"de eerste Nederlandse cassette met Antilliaanse muziek". It contains a number of well-known Antillian pieces (mostly from Curaçao): waltzes, tumbas and mazurkas are being played and sung by leading musicians, among them pianist Padu del Caribe, pianist Edgar Palm, Conhunto Tipico Santa Rosa cond by Francisco Domatilia and Conhunto Los Caporales.
