Dana Schmitz and Jim Behrens have been friends and bandmates since late 1975, most notably as members of The Memos with drummer Dave Valdez who relocated from Omaha, NE to Boston, MA in 1982. They released two independently produced 45’s while still in high school and a third in 1985 while in Boston along with numerous other studio recordings. This series is designed to chronicle the impact of New Wave/Alternative music of the late 1970’s and 1980’s through their experiences and insights as a working band and songwriters during this pivotal time in music history.
