In this episode of the Untold Fishing Stories series, I have Călin Vișoianu, one of the pioneers of modern carp fishing in the Danube Delta and the man who inspired me enormously in understanding this type of fishing. We tell about his first expedition to the Danube Delta, in 1983, when seven young people set off into the wilderness of the Delta with two rods, a few supplies and a lot of adventure. We talk about the times when people drank water directly from the Danube, about fishing from a bottle, about the first boilies that arrived in the delta and about what the Danube Delta looked like before it became what we know today. From trout and rudd to the big carp of the Delta, Călin shares stories, experiences and lessons accumulated in over 40 years spent on the water.
