They conducted a study in which students had to solve tasks in logic, grammar, and humor. Afterward, they were asked to assess their own performance. The result was quite clear and, frankly, a bit amusing: Those who objectively performed the worst considered themselves to be above average. And those who actually performed the best tended to underestimate themselves. It also turned out that people with low competence are also worse at recognizing competence in others.
